Soul's Odyssey
This game was made for the Brackeys Game Jam 2023.2 and the theme was “Diving Deeper”. This is a DEMO for a potential full release with many more layers down the road.
The premise of the game is to go from surface-level emotions to deeper ones, through the means of your memories. As you traverse through them, making your way through the puzzles and the platforming, your character has breakthroughs and opens up about their feelings via narration.
The character picks up new abilities while exploring their emotions from days past, and the abilities stay with you even after you go to a new level.
The abilities range from making puzzles more convenient to completely changing what's possible, so make sure to try using them if nothing else works.

I’m a solo developer and just doing a lot of experimenting to expand my knowledge, sorry if the game is a bit buggy or unpolished :-:
This was my first real 2D game ever! All feedback is appreciated.
The boxes can only be pushed, not pulled. If you try to pull them you might noclip through the floor. I tried patching it but just be safe regardless.
I tried making sure the moving platforms don't noclip you or leave you behind, but please let me know if I missed something.
You might be able to have a level selector in the future, keep your eyes peeled for that!
